This means that if you’re home, you can send files from one gadget to another, even from a distance. The average detection range is about 10 meters or 30 feet for standard Bluetooth devices.

Once you have the driver installed on your system, you can also check for Bluetooth-enabled devices. However, it will take time to transfer larger files like high-resolution images and full-length videos. You can send and receive files wirelessly.

If you regularly back up your files by transferring them, you no longer need to use external storage devices. You can send a couple of images from one device to another in a matter of seconds. With Bluetooth, you get decent transfer speeds. You just need to download the driver, install it, and start file transferring. With this, you no longer need to go through your device settings, examine the exact model, and worry whether the driver will work fine. This gives this driver a huge advantage compared to other device and system-specific Bluetooth drivers. I have tried the WUSB 3.0 driver from the HP support page for this notebook, but this did not work.Bluetooth Driver is a lightweight and versatile tool that works with almost any Bluetooth device, dongles, and adapters. However, I still have USB Controller not installed (code28) with exclamation point in device manager. After several updates and reboots I was able to get USB ports working - Logitech mouse and Thumbdrive use verified. I had to use the RaLink Driver located by Windows Update.

I note that the Realtek Wireless driver download from the HP support page for this notebook did not allow the WiFi adpater to start. But the Bluetooth function which I believe is part of the same package did not install/enable. The wireless adapter started working after the RaLink RT3290 802.11 bgn WiFi Adatper driver installed. Able to get everyting working except still getting two errors:ġ) Bluetooth driver not installed (code 28)
